Dimapur – WW2 Bridge
The stories I had heard about my grandfather, a Gandhian and a freedom fighter, have left a deep impression, and I have always wondered what it must been to be a part of era, that struggle. So when I stumbled across an innocuous advertisement offering a tour of the Battle of Imphal of 1944, it seemed to be a wonderful opportunity to explore some aspects of that incredible period.
I feel compelled to share my experiences to all those who may be interested in that chapter of history. For me, it was an exploration of deep, personal significance.
