Ambika Nivas Palace, now a heritage hotel, remains one of the most important landmarks in Muli. Built during the early twentieth century by the royal family of Muli, the palace reflects the lifestyle and architectural taste of princely Gujarat.
The structure combines Indian and European architectural influences. Large courtyards, long corridors, high ceilings, arches, and decorative balconies define the building. Inside, vintage furniture, chandeliers, wooden staircases, patterned tiles, and royal portraits preserve the atmosphere of an earlier era.
The palace still carries the identity of a lived royal residence. The scale of the structure, the arrangement of rooms, and the detailing of the interiors reflect the importance that Muli once held during the princely state period.
The open grounds surrounding the palace add to its calm and balanced atmosphere, where architecture and landscape work together naturally.
