Muli

Muli

The historic town of Muli in Gujarat’s Surendranagar district brings together royal heritage, traditional architecture, village life, and local craftsmanship. Unlike many heritage destinations that have become heavily commercialized, Muli still retains much of its original character. Old streets, carved wooden houses, royal residences, temples, and local markets continue to shape everyday life here.
We visited Muli not only for its monuments but also for its living traditions. The journey included royal buildings, narrow historic lanes, temples, saree weaving workshops, village walks, and the vibrant atmosphere of Tarnetar at night. The experience showed how history and tradition continue to remain active parts of life in this region.
